About Emma Howard
Emma is an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Corporate and Entertainment Law practice groups. She works closely with entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and entertainment professionals, providing strategic legal counsel across a wide range of corporate and transactional matters.
In her corporate practice, Emma assists clients with entity formation, corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, and complex business transactions. She partners with founders and growth-stage companies to structure deals, protect their interests, and navigate the legal considerations that arise at every phase of business development. Emma approaches each matter with precision and a focus on long-term strategy, ensuring that clients are positioned for sustainable growth.
Within the entertainment industry, Emma advises artists, producers, content creators, and entertainment businesses on contract negotiations, intellectual property protection, and rights management. She understands the unique legal and business dynamics of the creative sector and provides practical, forward-thinking guidance tailored to her clients’ evolving needs.
Emma also supports clients in intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright registration, portfolio management, and brand protection strategy. She works to safeguard the ideas, brands, and creative works that form the foundation of her clients’ success.
Known for her attention to detail and collaborative approach, Emma is committed to delivering clear guidance and responsive service while protecting what her clients are building.
Originally from Atlanta, Emma travelled north to attend the University of Maryland and graduated with dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and art history. After undergrad, Emma continued north and attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While in Law School, Emma served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Law and Commerce and gained experience working in Environmental Law, Business Law, and Oil & Gas Law.
When not in the office, Emma enjoys exploring new parts of Pittsburgh, mainly restaurants and breweries, with friends. She also loves attending sporting events, baking, and spending time with her cat, Peach.
